About Us

ChapelFamilyHOW WE FUNCTION
At Clermont Bible Fellowship, we are devoted to teaching, fellowship, the Lord's Supper, and prayer. (Acts 2:42)

We are an autonomous local church, gathering unto the name of the Lord Jesus Christ alone. We do not seek a name for ourselves or take a denominational title. His name is the only name by which we wish to be known. (Matthew 18:20, Acts 11:26, 1Corinthians 6:11, Colossians 3:17)

We practice the priesthood of all believers. (1 Peter2:5)

We do not recognize a special class of people who do the Lord's work. Every believer in Christ is encouraged to use their gifts to serve the Lord for the benefit of fellow believers.
The ministry of preaching and teaching the Word of God is given by spiritual men who have been gifted by the Holy Spirit.
(Romans 12: 6-8, Ephesians 4: 7-12)

Our church leaders are elders and deacons — Godly men who meet the qualifications found in 'Timothy 3:1-13, and Titus 1:5-9. The elders serve the believers by providing oversight and pastoral care. Collectively, the elders serve as shepherds under the authority of the Lord Jesus, who is the head and Chief Shepherd of His church. (Ephesians 5:18, 1 Peter 5:4, Acts 20:28)

We baptize believers in the Lord Jesus Christ by immersion. Baptism does not save. It is an act of obedience in which the believer identifies publicly with the Lord.
Baptism symbolizes the work of God in salvation.
(Matthew 18:18-20, Romans 6:3-6)
Our Beliefs
It is our desire that you grow in the Grace and Knowledge of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is our Desire to Glorify, HIS NAME - The Name of the Lord Jesus Christ - By seeking to meet under the authority of His Word.

Clermont Bible Fellowship is a local group of Christians who have placed their faith and trust in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. (John 1:12, John 3:36, John 5:24, Ephesians 2:8-9, Thus 3:5)

WHY WE MEET We exist for the glory of God. (Ephesians 3:21) We meet to glorify Him through worship, service, and evangelism.

WORSHIP Our Lord instructed us to meet often to remember Him in the breaking of bread. We gather weekly for the Lord's Supper to worship our blessed Lord Jesus.(Matthew 26:26-30, Luke 22:14-20, 1 Corinthians 11:23-26, Acts 2:42, Acts 20:7)

SERVICE Every believer in Christ has at least one spiritual gift given by the Holy Spirit. These gifts are used in serving one another for the glory of God. We encourage every believer to use their gifts to build up one another in faith, to meet one another's needs, and to spread the gospel for the salvation of souls. (Romans 12:3-16,1 Corinthians 12, Ephesians 4:7-16, 1 Peter 4:10-11)

EVANGELISM Jesus commanded His disciples to go into all the world, preaching the gospel and making disciples. (Mark 16:15, Matthew 28:19-20). It is our aim to teach the message of salvation by grace through faith in Christ alone as the only hope for forgiveness of sins and peace with God. We do this through personal evangelism, home Bible studies, and foreign missions.

God’s Truth is more Important than Man's Opinion
Welcome! There are two words that seem to best describe Clermont Bible Fellowship— "Scriptural" and "Simplicity".  By Scriptural we mean our desire to be under the authority of God’s Word not only in what we believe but in how we meet together.   Simplicity defines our desire to be free from the trappings of formalism and man’s rituals. We are not seeking to come up with a new way of “doing church”. We believe God has revealed His plan for the church in His unchanging Word, the Bible.  Since the Bible shows us  His pattern for the church today we seek to follow that pattern rather than devise our own plan.
